Just Another Random Weekend Wrap-Up.

It has been some time since I did one of these wrap-up posts, but there were a few loose ends I wanted to tie up. Plus a few random updates:

- First let me take a moment to say a special thank you to those of you who have clicked on that follow button in the past few weeks. I feel awesome and you all are awesome for making me feel awesome.

Awesome!

- By the way, in case you were wondering, I'm still unemployed. While I tried not to let getting fired from the paper draw get to me, the fact that working there sucked so hard did make me (briefly) doubt my resolve towards journalism. But only briefly. I've been sending out applications like crazy, but so far, crickets.

- I visited the parents on Friday. I have to admit I don't go see them as much as I should. As a result, Momma C has resorted to some shrewd tactics to lure me over.

Momma C: So when am I seeing you?
Me: I dunno. I'll let you know.
Momma C: Uh-huh. I've heard that before. Well, you better not take too long. The mango tree in the front yard - you know, the Julie-mango tree - is just so full this season. "Julies" are your favorite, aren't they? (she knows they are.)
Me: Yeah.
Momma C: Thought so. Anyway, The neighbours have been helping themselves to the ones hanging over into the street, but I picked some and set them aside for you.
Me: Thanks.
Momma C: But you know your nephew and nieces will finish them off if you don't get here soon. Diva (aka Mrs. C) loves "Julies" too, doesn't she?

As you can see, I didn't really have a chance. So, like I said, on Friday I went over... and I came back with these:
I know! Those are a whole lot of mangoes.
With all these mangoes, Mrs. C decided to take the opportunity to get creative. She got out her trusty blender and tossed a few in along with some watermelon and paw paw (some of you may know it as papaya) and voilà!
Mmmmmm... Fruity goodness!
What can I say? She loves juicing stuff. We still have enough left over to last us a while but if we aren't tired of mangoes by the the time they're done, the folks have the hook-up.
Some of what I didn't take that day.
Just the excuse Momma C needs to get me to visit more often. At least until mango season passes.

********

While we're here, Let's go over the stuff I posted during the week. Shall we? First, let's start with some posts I did right here:
- It all began on Monday. Once again, I used the World of Warcraft to illustrate the issue of my diminutive stature. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But I am short, and so is Mrs. C. Only she doesn't like to talk about it  (FYI - She did eventually find the post).

- On Thursday, there was a pseudo-post to lead you to another post to talk about pseudo-porn on a pseudo-porn site. Believe me, it's not as confusing as it sounds.

- Finally, on Friday, I drew a simple cartoon to illustrate some my struggle a particular form of exercise.

Now it's on to Sprocket Ink:
As always, I have my Tuesday and Thursday slots of new-meets-snarky goodness.

- Tuesday's post looked into the ill-conceived idea of Japanese group to use a cartoon depicting a wife's level of anger as a representation of dangerous nuclear radiation levels.

- Then on Thursday I explored PETA's new .xxx adult website. There I made the disappointing discovery that this X-rated site actually had nothing X-rated on it. Not even a single nipple! Well... if you look really hard you can kinda see Ron Jeremy's but I ain't gonna. I also introduce the phrase "PETA Pocket Porn" which I may copyright if I'm not too lazy.

********
And that's what what I've been up to. I'll go have me a mango now.

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Changing Focus.

Bet you thought it would be another 3 months before I did this again, huh? Well, I did create a whole new graphic and everything so I just have to try to put it in circulation from time to time.

So what's been going on with me? Glad you asked!
On Tuesday I announced my new role on Sprocket Ink as Japanese Bikini Model correspondent... At least, I think that's my new title...

Then on Wednesday I shared the truth about was really going on at my new place of employment, The Paper. And it's not good! Thing is I really love the journalist gig but sometimes, as they say, love just ain't enough. I'm torn but I feel a decision needs to be made soon.

Then it was Mrs. C's turn to entertain you in her debut appearance in my stick-toon fantasy world on Thursday. As you can see she can even make killing a cockroach entertaining.
On Tuesday I revealed a startling secret that could shift the world's balance of power if it's left unchecked. IRAN HAS NINJAS!!! I'd say not to panic, but the truth is you should panic. Oh, you should.

Thursday's post was-well-even I'm having a hard time explaining this one. Just make sure the kids/parents/bible study group/pets/cops aren't in the room when you go read this one. You may want to close the curtains too.

I know, right? Now you just *have* to go check it out. But remember, I did try to warn you.

One last thing. Mrs. C has finally caved in to the call of the web and set up a twitter account. It's actually part of a bigger project she's working on but I've been sworn to secrecy on most of it. But rest assured, once the gag-order is removed, you'll be the first to know. In the meantime feel obligated free to show her some love on the twitterverse. Now, I'm not saying I may be rewarded in sexual favors for each new follower she gets, but on the off chance that I will be, you'd actually be helping a brother out.

Just sayin'.

Just Where Have You Been All Week... I Mean All Month... Or Is It 3 Months?

Just before I started with The Paper I stopped doing my weekly wrap-up posts. What can I say? I've had an eventful past few months.
First off, say goodbye to this toon. I've decided to give my wrap-ups an intro graphic like most of my other posts. So... introducing my new weekly wrap-up graphic!
I said "new" not necessarily "improved".

Now, on to the recap. I've decided to spare you the details of the last 3 months or so of stuff that have been going on. Long story short, crappy internet, new job, Christmas, New Year great blog friends encouraging me along the way and so on.

Now that we're all up to date I'll recap what I've been up to in the past week. Let's start with my activities here:
- Things have been pretty quite this week. Mostly that's because, as I said in Tuesday, my internet is being an asshole troublesome again. It started working again today. Mostly! Really slow connection but at least I can connect.

- Not to be deterred, I've been making extensive use of Blogger's post email feature. That's how I was able to post about one of my paranoid delusions suspicions I have from time to time.

A lack of internet did not stop me from posting on Sprocket Ink:
- On Tuesday we looked into a study revealing a male preoccupation with sex and violence. No shit! Really?

- Thursday I had fun with puns as I wrote about how one German city is dealing with its economic problems. The word "Robopimp" is used... And it actually makes sense.

And that's what I've been up to this past week. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep this consistent from now on. If not... well... then I guess I won't.

Don't you just love the whole  "my blog my rules" thing?

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Dealing With Secrets & Mysteries.

This was an eventful week for me. I was stressing the whole interview thing right up until the day it happened but turns out things did turn out pretty good. But we'll get to all that during the wrap-up.

As usual, we start with what I was up to here:

- On Monday I shared another conversation with Mrs. C where she seemed to let a secret slip. I'm still investigating.

- I didn't post again until Thursday. It was just to ramble on a little about the impending job interview the day after that.

- On Friday, after the interview, I announced that I was successful. Unfortunately, that only means that I get to go to round two, A SECOND INTERVIEW! It is true that torture is often most effective when you can drag it out for as long as possible. I guess employers (even potential ones) know this better than most.

Now a few of you have asked and, as I said in the comments to that post, this mystery question is actually the homework. One of the interviewers challenged me to figure out the correct answer for them by the time I returned for the second interview. And, while he did swear me to secrecy, I really do want to see if I can figure it out on my own. Be patient. I'll share it as soon as I can. Promise.

As you know, I also did my thing over at Sprocket Ink:

- On Tuesday I wrote about a family whose exploits in attempted murder could be right out of a movie plot. Albeit a Pegg and Frost movie plot rather than a murder mystery, though.

I dunno... This one seems a little out there. Even for us!
source
- Then, on Thursday, I wrote about boobs again (it's in my imaginary contract). This time it was about a profession I could really see myself getting into... Minus the makeup, of course.

There it is! My week's activities here on the blogasphere. Of course, I'll keep you updated on my progress on the job front and let you know when they call back. Until then, later.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? Bring You Some Good News.

Good news! After months of sending out applications without so much as a phone call coming my way, I finally got called for an interview! Okay, I know it's just an interview and nothing is anywhere near confirmed yet, but I was beginning to think employers thought I had the plague or something.

I'll take my victories where I can get them.

Added to that, it's for a newspaper. How awesome is that? I sent this application in 7 months ago and they called on Friday. Totally sweet, right? My interview is this coming Friday. I'm hoping all the other crap I've got going on will have me too distracted to be nervous during the interview.

Anyway, enough of the boring stuff. It's recap time!

First, here:

- On Sunday I posted on how my child experiences caused me to create invisible barriers for myself.

- Monday, during one of my always entertaining conversations with the Mrs. we discussed a weird dream she had.

- Tuesday I did a pseudo-post where I introduced a new graphic.

- Wednesday I woke up with a stiff and painful neck. And I bitched told you about it.

- Thursday was pseudo-post# 2 and Friday, pseudo-post# 3.

Now over to Sprocket Ink:

- My Tuesday post looked at a study that would make coffee drinkers everywhere smile and silence those darn naysayers.

- Thursday I followed up on an earlier story about the arrest of a suspected criminal who had an entire town on their toes.

- I filled in on Sprocket on Friday and got all ranty and opinionated this time while discussing a proposed law that would institute temporary marriages in Mexico City.

Yeah, I'll say it's been a busy week. Wouldn't you? Anyway, the interview's not until Friday buy go on ahead and wish me luck from now, if you like. I'm not too proud to take any positive encouragement I can get this early.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Getting Organized.

It's a national holiday here in T&T today. Republic Day which, as the name suggests, celebrates the country becoming a republic way back when. If you ask me, there should be some kind of rule against allowing holidays to be on a Saturday. Except for the few who actually work on a Saturday, who really benefits, right?

Not that is actually affects me either way since I'm still sans job. I've been kinda quite this week, I know. I guess sometimes it's hard not to let the whole unemployment thing bug me. But let's face it, that's not why you're here so I'm not going to whine about it (much). I've still done a thing or two, all the same.

Let's start with what I've been up to here on my blog:

- As some of you already know, I've designed an early warning system of sorts for my blog in the from of crudely drawn stick toon graphics. This I posted about on Tuesday.

- On Wednesday I passed out an award one of my homies, Paul, gave me. There were actually two awards, but I was feeling lazy and linked a previous post where I had already received the second one.

What?

Meanwhile, on Sprocket Ink:

- On Tuesday, I wrote about a group of fed up housewives using what could be the ultimate weapon of mass distraction to finally bring an end to war on their island. Those guys didn't stand a chance.

- Thursday we looked at one country's ingenious method for preventing the zombie apocalypse. This could really be the answer. Now, if we can only learn from their one misguided error.

And that's it. That's my week in a nutshell. Feel free to click on any one of the numerous links above to catch up on anything you may have missed. I think I'm going to take this weekend to get myself in perspective and over the sucky mood I'm in.

See ya!

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Having Cake Then Ending Up At The Dentist's.

It's Sunday so technically I guess you could say that my wrap-up should read "Just Where Have You Been Last Week" last week. But that would mean messing with my super awesome title theme, upsetting the delicate balance of nature, disrupting the space-time continuum and triggering the zombie apocalypse. I think it's best for everyone that we just let this one slide.

Your welcome.

In an effort of have some kind of order here, I'm experimenting with the structure of these posts again. This time I'm going to try separating my posts based on site with a graphic lead-in. We'll see how it works...

Here on AVCI:

I did a lot of tooning here this week. Some posts had a lot, some had only one but every post had them.

- It started on Sunday. That was when this blog celebrated its first year of existence. And, as I promised you, there was cake. Even if A-Bomb did try to steal it.

- On Tuesday I did even more toons to properly share my experience with using my school's public computers.

On Wednesday I went to the dentist. On Thursday I blogged about the experience. There was a toon there too.

Now, over to Sprocket Ink:

It was fetish week on Sprocket Ink this week with every story I wrote having some kind of weird obsession involved.

- Tuesday we looked at a young woman's attempt to live out vampire fantasy, in which she was the vampire and an elderly guy in the wheel chair, her victim. It wasn't as much fun for him.

- Thursday I indulged my own obsession with the lovable, ever quirky country of Japan. And, of course, a plucky and determined little robot was involved. We are talking about Japan after all.

- Finally, on Friday, I told you about the plight of a town in Arkansas. There's a serial toe-sucker on the loose and residents are now forced to abandon their flip-flops for safety.

Cut! Print it! Perfect! Oh, a bit of housekeeping. I'm back to my usual schedule on Sprocket, which is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'll still be on at 10am on Tuesdays, but I've moved from 12pm to 11am on Thursdays now. Just so you know.

And so, with balance maintained and zombies held at bay, we close off this (last) week's wrap-up post. Until next time.

Keep it real (whatever that means).

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Getting Stuff Done In The RL.

This has been a hectic week for me. I've been out every day taking care of one thing or another (none of which were blog-worthy, I'm afraid). Not to mention that it's my first week back at school. To be honest, I've had enough of outside already. But the weekend is here and it's time for me to give account of whereabouts again.

- The week started on Tuesday with my regular posting on Sprocket Ink. This one was about a really 'big' world record challenge. Here, on the same day, I made brief mention about my return to school. I also mentioned the upcoming one year anniversary of this blog (that's tomorrow, by the way).

- Then I reappeared on Sprocket Ink again on Thursday. I talked about the one possible advantage to door-to-door type work and how some census takers in Hungary are having that opportunity taken away by technology. And they torture the poor guys with an ad about it! Back here, I did what I call a pseudo-post just to send you guys over there.

- On Friday I was at Sprocket again to talk about some scandalous and deviant behavior displayed in public. These acts weren't done by some Hollywood celebs, mind you, but animals. So sad, really.

There! I've told you everything. That was my week.

Oh! Special thanks to fellow blogger Pickleope for not only mentioning me but also pickling me (not as perverted as it sounds... kinda) on his blog yesterday.

Anyway, as I said, tomorrow AVCI turns one year old. Come on over. It won't be anything big and fancy but there will be cake. Promise!

See you then.

Just Where Have You Been This Week..? I Mean Last Week! Whatever!

I know! I know! I'm posting this late... AGAIN! What can I say? It was one of those weekends. But better late than never. Right? Actually, It was one of those weeks. There have been a lot of things going on over here on my end.

Due to out-of-control crimerate lately, a state of emergency was called the week before last. Now there's a curfew in a few areas of the country (including where I live). Everyone's trying to adjust to it and we just found out today that it's being extended to the end of the year but with the curfew slightly relaxed.

Good times...

Then, last week, there were two national holidays smack dab (I never got what that meant exactly) in the middle of the week. First, in Wednesday, was Independence Day, then Thursday was the Muslim celebrated/everybody's day off religious holiday, Eid-Ul-Fitr.

All of that had my week a bit disheveled. But enough with the excuses! It's time to wrap up last week:

- Last week, my week started on Tuesday with a story on Sprocket Ink about bickering robots. Since machines were involved HAL 9000 decided to drop by here again. He's been more or less out of work since the 70's so I think he's gunning for a permanent job.

- On Wednesday I joined Ninja Mom's Character Assassination Carousel where I gave my take on a the Br'er Rabbit Stories. It involves a clandestine late-night meeting, a vengeful murder plot, and a traumatized cow. What more could you ask for?

- On Thursday I posted on Sprocket again. This time it involved a really crappy mom who was caught in action on video.

- Then I was back on Sprocket Again on Friday to give my perspective on the necessity on Domino's Japan's plan for a restaurant on the moon. In a nutshell: HELL YEAH!!!

So that was my week. All of the chaos means that I haven't been keeping up with what you guys have been up to. I guess I have to do some catching-up to do.

In other news: ib from Habitual Hobbit has graciously bestowed an award upon me:

AWESOME! Thanks again, ib. Of course, What's a blog award without some rules to it? The rules for this one are pretty simple:

The Liebster Blog Award is given to bloggers with less than 200 followers, all in the spirit of fostering new connections.

1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them. - DONE.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog. - AND THEY ARE:

- j. littlejohn at An Open Letter To
- dbs at think.stew
- Pickleope at-well- Pickleope
- IWASNTBLOGGEDYESTERDAY at IWASNTBLOGGEDYESTERDAY
I'LL GET TO THE NOTIFICATION PART TOMORROW.
3. Post the award on your blog. - See THE WALL
4. Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the internet—other writers. - That's where you all come in. Always room for more of that.
5. And best of all – have fun and spread the karma. - DONE & DOING

Okay. I'm done. Really Those of you celebrating Labor Day today, enjoy. I'll see you again tomorrow for my post on Sprocket.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Getting Fit For Robopoclypse.

Another week, and soon to be month drawing to a close. It's been a pretty active blogging week for me. I had three posts here and another three over at Sprocket Ink.

- On Monday I gave you a little taste of where I'm from. I like this post. It made me appreciate home a little bit more.

- The time of machines' ruling over man is inching ever closer. At least that's the conclusion I drew on Tuesday over at Sprocket Ink.

Later that day, here on my blog, a well known representative of the machines tried to plead their case.

- He creeped me out so I laid low for a bit until he was gone. I posted on Sprocket Ink in the meantime on Thursday. This story leads me to believe that guys are peeing in public a lot these days.

- On Friday I posted on Sprocket Ink again. I'm going to have a slot there on Fridays too for a bit so I hope you get used to it. This one looked at what could possibly be the plot for the next big-budget Hollywood romantic comedy about a dictator in love.

Then, when I was sure HAL was gone I came back and posted here. I gave my take on this week's Studio 30 Plus prompt: Challenge Accepted.

Well, that was my week. Hope the rest of you are all safe and secure. Especially those who have to worry about Irene's unwelcome visit.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - I've Been Doing... Stuff...

This one is going to be a quickie because I was watching back-to-back episodes of Criminal Minds online until about 2AM this morning and my brain is a warm gooey mush of sleep deprivation. On a side note, if you need me to work-up a profile on anyone, I think I'm ready. On another side note, I think I'm scared of all my neighbors, now.

- Yeah, it's been that kind of week. Filled with copious amounts of non-productivity. My week began with Tuesday's article on Sprocket Ink. The one with the prison breaking cow (And the awesome title).

- I didn't post again until Thursday with another story on Sprocket about how a celebrity peeing in a plane could cause another stupid craze. My post here on my blog followed the same day with me giving some random, miscellaneous updates of what I was doing while I was slacking off this week.

- I did have an actual post here on Friday, though. In it I told some crazy stories about my and Mrs. C's (mis)adventures in customer service.

And that's a wrap.If anyone needs me I'll be theorizing about just how many shallow graves there might be in the abandoned, overgrown yard next door. It's the perfect place for 'em.

Or sleeping. I might be doing that.

Just Where Have you Been This Week? - Practicing My Jazz Hands.

I had a busy week this week. What, with a post everyday since Monday, my two at Sprocket Ink and a guest post at Naked Girl in a Dress, I'd say I deserve to sleep in today. Wait. It's Saturday! I can do that anyway.

- As I said, it all started on Monday. That's when I talked about my never-ending war on soap scum.

- Tuesday I touched on boobies (*snicker*) both here and at Sprocket Ink.

- On Wednesday things got a little weird (er?) when I talked about being naked. It was really just a tie-in to my first ever guest post which was on the blog of my good friend, Kelly, at Naked Girl in a Dress. But, as a result, my stats went through the roof.

- On Thursday I said the word naked again and things got worse (page views seems to have holding just below 2,700). Then over at Sprocket Ink I told you about vital information about female orgasms and joining the mile-high club.

It's been that kind of week...

- Finally, on Friday the raunchiness was toned down so I could hopefully advise misguided fans of another Vinny C away from my Twitter account. Due to overwhelming requests on this post, I'll be working on my jazz hands. Hope you're all happy now.

And that brings us to where we are now. I don't know about you but I'm going back to bed for a while.

Oh! In other updates: Kelly from Naked Girl in a Dress made a request that she said I could share. Apparently, she has a friend who may or may not be incarcerated right now. She's leaning towards 'may', even though this friend says he's "working" out of state. Anyway, she wanted to give him a little gift that could help him keep the dangers in prison life in mind. See if you can guess what she's warning him about:

'Random' is an inside joke between the two of them.

Lastly, you may or may not have noticed that I haven't really mentioned much about school in the past few months. That's because I wasn't there. With the whole job loss situation, I thought it best to take a semester off to get my head thgether. Fortunately, the last semester was the short "optional" semester and there are no penalties or special procedures to skip it. You just don't register. No harm, no fowl, as they say. So that's what I did.

But all that's coming to an end as I'll be finally emerging into the daylight again (Not exactly since I study in the evenings). I'll be taking three subjects that officially mark my first classes since switching to Journalism. I'll be good to get out of the house, I guess. Give the brain a much-needed workout and all. All the better to find blog fodder, I say.

So I hope you'll all ready for some good, old fashioned complaining about my fellow students, lecturers and the school in general. Just like old times.

Coming this September...

Just Where Have you Been This Week? - Drawing Cartoons With My Fingertips..

We have yet again come to the close of another week and, as I've been doing for some time now, I'm going to recap the week that was:
********

- Tuesday I looked at crappy parenting, or at least one really crappy parent in particular. I gave a little teaser here to a story I did on Sprocket Ink about him.

- On Wednesday I did another installment of my Always Remember toon posts. I decided to go with gratuitous violence instead gratuitous stick-toon boobs. I think it worked.

- Finally, on Thursday, I was on Sprocket Ink again. This time I wrote about a farmer in India who went in for hernia surgery but got a hysterectomy instead. Something doesn't sound right there, does it?

If you haven't read any of these yet feel free to click on the relevant links and check 'em out.

********

One last thing. Remember how last week I complained about my mouse not working? Well it apparently changed it's mind on Friday and is working just fine... After I did Wednesday's toon post... The one I had to draw FOUR whole panels with the touchpad to finish!

Sometimes I thing even inanimate objects just enjoy screwing with me.

Just Where Have you Been This Week? - I Was Hiding In The Fridge.

Wow, weekend just seem to come up so fast!

Let's begin:

- My first post this week was on Tuesday. It was my take on the Studio 30 Plus weekly prompt "Your Earliest Memory Of Your Own Birthday Party". It was a really weird one.

Of course, you too can join in on the S30P action... As long as you're a member, that is. And I'd expect that, if you are a blogger aged thirty and over, that you're already a member of this great group. Just makes sense.

Also on Tuesday, I also posted on Sprocket Ink about young, attractive Russian women willing to bare it all in the name of supporting their favorite political candidate.

- On Thursday I posted on Sprocket Ink again. This time about the gradually vanishing species known as the German Nudist.

Then I noticed that both my Sprocket stories had similar themes. This made me a bit concerned and I expressed those concerns back here.

- On Friday I wrote a letter of complaint to the sun for the unbearable heat I had to endure.

Interesting side note about this post: This afternoon I noticed this -

I honestly can't tell you why.

Anyway, seems like someone was paying attention because this morning I got a response to that letter:

Along with thunder! Then, as I was out doing errands this happened:

And I was caught in it the entire time.

I'm wondering if I should build an ark or something.

Of course, I'm not fooling myself into believing that my letter was responsible for the change in weather. That would be ridiculous! I'm sure the weather would have changed whether I wrote it or not.

Hmm...

Dear National Lottery Board,

During my adult life I've purchased lottery tickets no less that eight times with no success. I find this unacceptable as, if anyone is deserving I must say that I am...

Just Where Have you Been This Week? - Finding Things To Complain About.

Another week enters the history books. Me? I'm mostly recovered from my mid-week move and getting used to the new digs. But listen to me go on and on! You're not here for that, are you? It's time for another weekly recap.

- This week I actually got things started off with an article on Sprocket Ink on Tuesday. This is where we learn about goats that only R. Kelly could love.

- On Wednesday, I complained about having to deal with both moving and jury service... But mostly about the jury service. It sucks...

- On Thursday I complained again. This time only about the moving which was finally over. Mrs. C and I spent the rest of the day in recovery.

- Then, of course, there was also my story on Sprocket Ink on Thursday. Here I shared some suggestions on some additional uses for some smart new military hardware.

That's basically it. The good news is that next week I won't be complaining about having to move. However, there is still that whole jury service thing. I'll try my best to keep my rants short.

But I can't make any guarantees.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Don't You Mean Last Week?

I know! I know! I'm late with my weekly wrap-up. We spent all weekend looking for another apartment since Evie is not budging from her decision to move so far out of her comfort zone. That and Mrs. C found out that she's getting transferred from her branch back to the capital. So, with two-to-one against moving east, we had to look for a new place.

I mentioned we move on Tuesday, right?

Anyway, we found a place that meets with everyone's approval and the move is on once again.

Now, where was I..? Oh, right! What I was up to last week...

- On Monday Mrs. C informed me that she was only really interested in getting into my genes when she met me. I guess I'm okay with that.

- Tuesday I griped a little about the tactics being employed by our landlord-to-be or - as it presently stands - not to be (Great! Now I'm ripping-off Shakespeare). There is also a link to my story at Sprocket Ink there (Much like there is here). It's about the Japanese sending sex dolls to dental school. Weird, I know, but go see for yourselves if you don't believe me.

- On Wednesday I told a sad story about our encounter with a neglected elderly woman Mrs. C and I met not too long ago.

- I had another eye-opening Conversation With Mrs. C on Thursday where she revealed my newest super power. Then it was over to Sprocket Ink again to talk about some... unconventional school equipment in a school in Uganda. Trust me. You won't believe this one.

And that's it. Those were my whereabouts for this-um-last week.

On a side note, I move tomorrow afternoon (Yay!) (Not really) but it's in the afternoon so I'll still have a post up at Sprocket at 10am. Be sure to tune in then.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - There Was That Trip To Japan...

I wish I actually could have taken a trip to Japan. Nope. Still home, still unemployed. It's all pretty much as you left it.

Let's see...

- I started off my week with a Sunday birthday post to our lovely and talented Mrs. C. She was really touched by you guys sending all the warm birthday wishes. Thanks again.

- Monday's post was a little bit of a rant. It's one where I talked about some disgraceful violence here in a local school.

- On Tuesday things got a little awkward as I declared my undying love for the country of Japan. This, I took a step further by officially declaring my intention to have the country as my bff on my post over at Sprocket Ink. AND, FOR THE LAST TIME, NO, I'M NOT SHARING!!! You know who you are.

- I took Wednesday off. To hang out with Japan.

- Thursday saw me doing double duty again with another Sprocket Ink story, this time about an amazing insect. Amazing and somewhat disturbing, that is. Then I griped a bit more about my crappy internet connection and how it almost brought about the end all of existence made me post at Sprocket late.

- No post on Friday. First day of-UGH!-Jury service. It ended up being postponed until later in the month YAWN! That's it on that issue.

That's it. That's what I've been up to this week. Don't you feel silly for jumping to conclusions now?

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Having Fun With Pictures.

This wrap up's going to be a quickie. Mostly since I haven't really posted much this week. I've been really busy and that's due to the fact that we're moving in less than a month. Yeah. And, since I'm the one who's at home, I've gotten started on the packing. I'll say this much, we have an unnatural amount of kitchenware for three people.

- On Wednesday I accepted a blog award from Antares Cryptos in honor of my geekiness and I had some fun playing with some pics from my computer. On Thursday I phoned it in with a non-post (Trust me, it's not even worth linking).

- Then, of course I had my two articles at Sprocket Ink on Tuesday and Thursday where I looked into a recent scientific study into the worst sound in the world and I had some more fun with pictures while discussing "natural" stupidity.

And that's it, basically.

Next week, though, I hit the ground running with a little something special I'm auto-posting tomorrow morning. Be sure look out for that.

Just Where Have You Been This Week? - Keeping Myself Busy.

Another week over, another weekly wrap up. Lets jump right in, shall we?

Before I get started, I'd like to say a special thanks to the wonderful Vicki from Glitter Frog for my second Tuesday Toss-Up commenter award:

For those of you who don't know, she gives these out once a week to the best commenter on her TTU posts. Want one? Got what it takes? Go flex your commenting muscles and one of these could yours too. Trust me, it looks really nice on the wall.

I've been busy this week on the blogging front as well:

- On Tuesday I mused at a possible career path for myself.

- I tried to play philosopher on Wednesday.

- On Thursday I was taken aback by the discovery of yet another crime of fashion. I'll caution you before you enter this one. It's not pretty.

- Friday... Well, to be honest, I'm not sure what the hell happened on Friday. But it involved Lacy & Diane (Where you got to see a side of Diane you've never seen before) for those of you that are interested.

Of course, we can't forget my weekly posts over at Sprocket Ink on Tuesday and Thursday.

First, on Tuesday I did an ad for a new vacation concept. I think it could really take off.

On Thursday I put in a little overtime & posted both the breaking news of a pervy politician's resignation and then I shared about one guys attempt at a do it yourself medical procedure.

You don't want to miss out on any of those, believe me.

And that, as they say, is a wrap. Tune in next week for more. I won't guarantee it'll be something sane but it'll be something.

Later.
