Always Remember (Awkward Situations Edition).

You will meet many kinds of people in life...

Some, stranger than others.

(NOTE: THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED LAST WEEK. FOR THE RECORD, THERE WASN'T ANYTHING IN MY TEETH. I CHECKED.)

  1. Do you think that will work on telemarketers?
    Hah!

  2. The leaning in was hilarious. How do you get out of that, say thanks and distance yourself from the crazy? Also, I love that you wear the old-school Press hat. It really makes you seem official, even in stick form.

  3. Maybe that was her way of a lead in to conversation because she thought you were a hottie! Think positive! Great post.

  4. @ Rene: They're a persistent bunch but anything's worth a try.

    @ Sherilin: Or on something.

@ Pickleope: In my experience, it's best to maintain the stare until said crazy one is distracted by a shiny object or loud noise.

I wanted to do the coat too. But it isn't practical in this climate.

@ Bouncin' Barb: Would you believe that's what my photographer said? I don't know what he plans to do with the photo he took, but sense it isn't good.

@ Sprite: Indeed. I believe I did feel that for a brief moment during the encounter.

  5. Maybe she just wanted to get closer to your face? Convenient excuse no?

  6. I really thought she was going to kiss you. Thanks goodness you had that sesame seed bagel before you started the interview.

  7. how come people never think people have stuff in their teeth on purpose? it's possible. we shouldn't assume it's always an accident.

  8. @ DWei: Convenient? Yes. Creeps? Also, yes.

@ Nari: Thank goodness indeed. It distracted her long enough to keep the situation from getting really awkward.

@ Littlejohn: Teeth can only benefit from prolonged exposure to lettuce. Right?

  9. Passive-aggressives are so well, passive-aggressive.

  10. @ dbs: Right? As a (somewhat) passive aggressive type myself, though, I must admit that she did throw me for a loop.

  11. I love how she actually leans towards you and stares at you. Silently. I feel it man, I totally feel it.
